Merchant of Record Disclosure

Last updated: 23 May 2026

Who sells what

When you buy a paid plan on uetr.ai there are two contracts:

  • Service contract — between you and Sempre Relevante - Unipessoal Lda, trading as uetr.ai. We are responsible for delivering the information service. Governed by our Terms.
  • Payment transaction — processed through Stripe acting as merchant of record where Stripe Managed Payments applies. Stripe's role in the payment transaction is governed by Stripe's End User Terms.

What Stripe handles

  • Calculation, collection, filing and remittance of applicable VAT, GST and sales tax in supported jurisdictions.
  • Issuing tax-compliant invoices and receipts for the payment.
  • Fraud screening and PCI-DSS scope for card data.
  • Chargeback handling and dispute resolution for the transaction.
  • Acting as an independent data controller for billing and fraud-prevention data.

What uetr.ai handles

  • Delivering the information service and email alerts you subscribed to.
  • Our 30-day money-back guarantee (in addition to any statutory rights).
  • GDPR controller duties for service data (UETR lookups, alerts, account, support).
  • Customer service for the service itself — write to support@uetr.ai.

What you will see

  • Card statement / receipt: may identify Stripe, Link, or uetr.ai depending on payment method and issuing bank.
  • Invoice / receipt: issued by Stripe on our behalf, sent to the email used at checkout.
  • Refunds: requested through uetr.ai support; executed by Stripe through the original payment method.
